Owners of buildings and public agencies are increasingly more interested in knowing about energy consumption in their buildings for improving energy efficiency. Internal air conditioning, both summer and winter, represents one of the most important energy intakes of the building, and therefore presents a high energy saving potential.
 
For satisfying such interest, IntelliGlass is collaborating with the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, the CEDINT in the development of a new system of remote monitoring of buildings. Sensors and wireless communications can be deployed in buildings already in operation with the minimum possible intrusion for its occupants. Data collected by wireless measurement nodes allow to know in detail the consumption of the building and advise property specific actions to be taken by the property to improve energy efficiency.
